Todd Gentles - Consulting Drilling / Well Operation Engineer
Todd Gentles has over 45 years of experience in drilling and well operations. Todd began his career working on drilling and workover rigs as a roughneck in the Illinois Basin. He transitioned to the University of Missouri where he obtained a degree in Petroleum Engineering.
Todd began his engineering experience with Getty Oil in the Texas Panhandle. He worked as a combined drilling /production engineer for Getty in mature fields and new field ventures.
Todd had the opportunity to work in the Illinois Basin as an drilling/ production engineer as leaving Getty Oil.
Todd transitioned to gas well and plant operations in the Texas Panhandle where he supervised the construction and operation of a natural gas processing plant with the focus of removal of H2S and CO2 from the produced as stream.
Upon completion of the gas plant oversight project, Todd stepped into the role of management of contract USACE Environmental projects as well as DOD contract projects.
Todd returned to the drilling and well operation when he joined Kinder Morgan CO2 in 2006. Todd managed the drilling operation in seven different oil and gas fields for Kinder Morgan CO2. This included over 2000 wells with multiple managed pressure, short radius horizontal wells in Texas, Colorado and Arizona.
Todd has a tremendous focus on safe operating practices and continuous improvement efforts to achieve the most cost effective wells.
Todd and his wife of 45 years, Lisa, reside in Montgomery, Texas.
