Eric Cummins - Vice President, Exploration and Production

Vice President, Geologist

Eric Cummins has 30 years of experience as an exploration and production geologist. Prior to joining Four Corners Helium, he served as Geological Manager and Conventional Team Lead for Apache Corporation in Midland, Texas, where he led the efforts of a staff of 20 geologists focused on developing assets in the New Mexico portion of the Delaware basin, Central Basin Platform and NW Shelf. At the height of Apache’s Permian activity, during which the company employed 44 rigs, Mr. Cummins was instrumental in providing a robust prospect inventory that contributed to Apache reaching its goal of 150,000 BOPD in the Permian Region.

As a development geologist for Apache Corporation, Mr. Cummins was successful in evaluating and developing multiple Bone Spring and Wolfcamp horizontal landing targets throughout the Delaware basin in Texas and New Mexico, as well as leading geological efforts in numerous secondary and tertiary recovery fields on the Central Basin Platform and NW Shelf of the Permian.

In addition to his experience in the Permian Basin, Mr. Cummins has generated and evaluated prospects in areas ranging from S. Louisiana, the central Texas Gulf Coast, northern Appalachia Basin, as well as the San Juan and Paradox Basins on the Colorado Plateau.

Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from New Mexico State University and a Master of Science degree in Geology from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette.
